On-Demand Ace Centre Training 2025/2026

We’re delighted to offer a new on-demand training package featuring three expert-led workshops delivered by Ace Centre during this academic year.

With recorded training videos and downloadable slides and resources, these sessions are designed for professionals who want practical, evidence-informed guidance they can revisit in their own time.

This package comprises the following three sessions for just £10:

Developing Access for Learners with Complex Needs

This session is designed to help you develop a deeper understanding of access for learners with complex needs, with a particular focus on communication and literacy. Whether you are an educator, therapist, support worker, or parent, you’ll gain practical strategies, real-world examples, and a strong foundation in AAC approaches to support individuals in expressing themselves and developing their literacy skills.

The session is delivered by May Ebbage-Taylor and Katy Leckenby

Developing Access for Reading

For many learners with complex needs, accessing reading can feel like an impossible barrier — but it doesn’t have to be. This session, delivered by ACE Centre, will give you the knowledge and practical tools to open up literacy opportunities for every learner. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your own practice or to ensure that no child is left behind, you’ll come away with fresh strategies and confidence to make reading truly accessible.

The session is delivered by May Ebbage-Taylor and Katy Leckenby

Developing Access for Writing

Writing is a powerful way for every learner to share their voice — yet too often, those with complex needs are denied full access. This session, delivered by ACE Centre, will give you the insight and practical tools to break down barriers and open up writing opportunities for all. You’ll leave with strategies, examples, and confidence to make independent expression through writing a reality for every learner.

The session is delivered by May Ebbage-Taylor and Katy Leckenby
