ProFILE is an inclusive planning, monitoring and assessment framework designed to support all learners, from those at emergent literacy levels through to more conventional developmental pathways, including pupils whose progress is complex, uneven or non-linear.

It helps schools recognise meaningful progress in all its forms, providing a clear structure for understanding what learners can do, what is developing, and what needs to be built next.

ProFILE gives teachers, school leaders and trusts a shared language for planning, monitoring and recognising progress in literacy across the whole range of ages, stages and starting points.

Introducing ProFILE

ProFILE is a collaborative, not-for-profit project developed by Teach Us Too, Michelle Hill of Nexus Multi Academy Trust and Dr Sarah Moseley.

ProFILE is available through an annual school membership, priced at £100 per school. Membership provides access to the full suite of ProFILE tools for the academic year.

Schools joining during the academic year will receive immediate access to all ProFILE tools and resources. The annual membership fee remains £100 regardless of the point of entry during the membership year.

Membership renews at the start of each academic year. ProFILE is reviewed and updated annually, with any updates released ahead of the renewal period to ensure the framework remains relevant, responsive and up to date.
