About Literacy Landscapes

Literacy Landscapes: Stories from Schools celebrates the literacy journeys taking place in classrooms, schools and trusts supporting pupils with complex needs. This project shines a light on the educators, teams and communities who are creating meaningful opportunities for children and young people to develop literacy and self-expression in inclusive and inspiring ways.

Through shared stories, reflections and real-life experiences, Literacy Landscapes explores the approaches, challenges and successes that shape literacy learning across different educational settings. From small classroom moments to whole-school or trust-wide change, these stories highlight the creativity, commitment and collaboration that help pupils thrive.

By sharing practice and celebrating impact, we hope to inspire conversation, connection and continued growth across the literacy community.
