Assessment of Phonological Awareness & Reading (APAR)
The APAR was designed to assess the Phonological Awareness (PA) and reading skills of adult participants in the project Web Access for Literacy Development in Individuals with Disability, funded through AccessAbility, Department of Communications Information Technology and the Arts.

The Developmental Writing Scale
The DWS is a 14-point ordinal scale that defines qualitative advances in levels of a learning progression for beginning writing from scribbling to cohesive (linguistically connected) and coherent (on an identifiable topic) paragraph-level writing. Used as a formative and summative assessment, it provides refined developmental levels that allow teachers to measure small amounts of progress.
