Preparing students for truly inclusive practice

We work closely with university course leaders to deliver specialist workshops that strengthen students’ understanding of inclusive literacy for learners with complex needs. Our sessions are tailored for education, teaching, and speech and language therapy programmes, supporting students to critically explore how literacy, communication, and inclusion intersect in practice.

Through research-informed discussion, real-world examples, and reflective activities, we highlight the importance of ensuring pupils with complex needs are not excluded from literacy teaching or from wider inclusion frameworks. Our training supports students to move beyond good intentions, developing the knowledge and mindset needed to advocate for and deliver inclusive practice throughout their professional careers.

Alongside bespoke university-based workshops, we also offer live open sessions that students can register for individually. These sessions provide an opportunity to deepen learning, engage with inclusive literacy thinking, and connect theory to practice.
