Abdi brings an invaluable combination of lived experience, professional expertise, and unwavering advocacy to our ambassador community. His powerful contribution to our first Inclusive Literacy: From Principle to Practice professional development day left a lasting impression on delegates, reminding us all of the profound impact that communication, literacy, and high expectations can have on a person's life. Through his work, Abdi continues to challenge assumptions, inspire change, and champion the right of every disabled child and young person to be recognised for their potential. We are honoured to have him supporting our mission.

I am an award-winning AAC user and mentor with more than 18 years of lived experience. I have become a recognised voice in the AAC and disability space through his mentoring, public speaking, training, and wider advocacy for higher standards around communication access.

Through my company, Limitless Minds Group, I have helped thousands by working directly with AAC users while also training schools, speaking to professionals, and advising organisations on communication, inclusion, and disabled people’s potential. My work is grounded in lived experience, but it is also shaped by years of supporting others and challenging the low expectations that still follow many disabled people through education and wider society.

My mission is to help build a world where disabled children and adults are heard properly, respected fully, and never reduced to assumptions made about them too early.

As a Teach Us Too ambassador, I am proud to stand behind a mission that pushes for literacy, dignity, and a better future for disabled learners.
