Communication Matters Conference

On 13th September Jonathan, Chantal and Sarah Giles (teacher) presented at a national communication conference in Leeds to 40 professionals, AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) users and parents. The conference was useful in making connections with other people in the field of AAC and propagating the message of Teach Us Too – that all children should be taught to read and write regardless of their label.

Sadly, one of the AAC users in the room said “I can’t believe it is still like this 30 years on”. Let’s make sure that the same can’t be said in another 30 years!
